Who performs the treatment?
Our Advanced Esthetician is a graduate of the Prive Academy, a hands-on Plasma Fibroblasting advanced education program in San Diego.
What’s the procedure like?
The first step is a thorough consultation where we will determine the best treatment plan for your concerns and set expectations for the results that can be expected. Next, your skin will be cleansed and a topical anesthetic (numbing) cream will be applied for 30 minutes for the cream to take effect.
The treatment area will then be treated using a plasma pen. The pen will create small arcs of microcurrents that make small scab-like dots on the skin. With the aid of the numbing cream, most clients will remain fairly comfortable, although some areas are more sensitive than others. A treatment may last anywhere from 20-60+ minutes depending on the size of the area.
After the treatment, the numbing cream will be removed and a cooling gel will be applied to minimize the tingling and burning sensation whenever possible.
Number of treatments required?
Tightening can be seen immediately during the treatment and many people get the results they want from one treatment, while others may require 2-3 treatments before they have achieved their desired results.
Who is a candidate?
Light to medium skin tones are ideal candidates for Plasma Fibroblast treatments. Darker skin tones (African American, African, Latin, Native American, Indian, Middle Eastern, Asian ancestry and people of mixed ethnicities) may not be good candidates. Our Advanced Esthetician will determine if you are a candidate during your consultation.
How long will it take to see results?
Results are impressive but should not be proposed as an alternative to surgery in cases of moderate to severe skin laxity. Only surgery can achieve these kinds of results. You will typically see immediate tightening along with cumulative improvements over the next three months in the appearance of saggy skin. In some cases it may require more than one session depending on the desired results.
